Giving Back This December: Supporting Pets in the Park

December is a time for kindness, connection and community. This year, we’re proud to dedicate the whole month to giving back to pets who need a little extra help.

For every consultation in December, Great Western Animal Hospital will donate $5 to Pets in the Park. This wonderful organisation provides free veterinary care to the pets of people experiencing homelessness or severe disadvantage. Their work helps keep vulnerable pets healthy, safe and with the people who love them most.

Why We’re Supporting Pets in the Park

Pets in the Park holds monthly pop up clinics around Sydney, offering check ups, vaccinations, parasite control, treatment plans and compassionate support for the pets of people doing it tough. Many of these pets are the only source of companionship their owners have, and keeping them healthy can make a huge difference to both their wellbeing and their owner’s quality of life.

Our team also volunteers at these pop ups from time to time, providing hands on care and support alongside the Pets in the Park vets and coordinators. Great Western Animal Hospital is one of the clinics they rely on for any ongoing or more complex vet work their patients may need, so we see firsthand the impact this charity has.

How It Works

It’s simple.

• Every consultation at GWAH in December counts.

• For each consult, we donate $5 directly to Pets in the Park.

• At the end of the month, we total the amount and credit it to their vet account with us.

Your pet gets the care they need and, at the same time, you’re helping another pet in need receive care too.
