Lesley Bishop - Senior Surgical Veterinary Nurse |
|
I have been a veterinary nurse for 7 years, for 3 of those years I lived here at Great Western Animal Hospital where I was responsible for the after hours care and treatment of our hospitalised patients. I enjoy the surgical side of veterinary nursing and have seen some amazing surgical procedures. It is a very satisfying part of my job to be able to help in the recovery of these very brave animals. I am particularly fond of our 'little fluffy' canine patients as I have a few of my own at home (who don't consider themselves to be dogs at all !)

Kelly Moyle - Reception Nurse
I am the newest member to join the Great Western family.I have been veterinary nursing since I left school in 1999. I have worked in large and small animal hospitals and love all aspects of the job!
Having worked in diabetes research at westmead hospital for 4 years, I was missing the dogs and cats too much so I came back to work as a veterinary nurse in general practice.
I have many animals at home from dogs, birds, fish and a bunny called Stewit.
I couldnt think of a job i would rather be doing!
| Lisa Buttigieg - Veterinary Nurse |
 |
| My name is Lisa and I have always loved working with animals. After school I completed a Certificate III in Animal Care and Husbandry through Richmond TAFE, and since then have worked at a few Native Wildlife Parks across Australia; the RSPCA; a petshop and the Blacktown Animal Holding Facility. I am currently studying to be a Vet Nurse whilst I am working at the Great Western Animal Hospital, and am also doing a Diploma in Small Animal Naturopathy which involves dog massage, nutrition and herbs for companion animals. Both courses are via correspondence. I have a Mini Foxie at home named Gypsy, a rabbit, guinea pig and some fish. |

Gemma Rheinberger - Junior Veterinary Nurse |
| Hi, my name is Gemma and I am Great Western Animal Hospital’s newest nursing member starting in mid 2008. I finished school in 2007 and have always wanted to work in the animal care industry. I have just begun studying again to become a fully qualified veterinary nurse. I have had a great love for animals throughout my life and hold great concern for their wellbeing. I have a wide collection of animals at home and am frequently adding to my family. I really enjoy caring for animals at work and seeing the difference we can make. I look forward to meeting your furry family members at our clinic! |
